Ridgewood 108 Firewise Information

The wildland beauty of Tuolumne County makes it prone to wildfire. It’s not a question of IF but WHEN we will have a wildfire!

The Ridgewood 108 Firewise Community was formed in 2019 and is a nationally recognized site, in good standing for 2025, with the Firewise USA program, and sponsored by the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA). In conjunction with the Tuolumne Fire Safe Council, our mission is to save lives and protect property through wildfire preparedness, prevention, and education.

The Firewise USA Program encourages local solutions by involving homeowners in taking individual responsibility for preparing their homes from the risk of wildfire. The Program provides resources to help homeowners learn how to adapt to living with wildfire while encouraging and impowering neighbors to work together to take action NOW to reduce their wildfire risk and prevent loses.

Ridgewood 108 Firewise Community consists of 681.7 acres and includes all Ridgewood residents (I, II and III). To request a copy of the Certificate for insurance purposes, please contact Randy Aceves either by phone at 925-337-3736 or by email bighooya@comcast.net.
